The Tour that will stay with you for life. An experience you’ll never forget.
Depart your hotel or campsite in the early morning with your interpreter and head for the Uluru sunrise viewing platform to experience the ultimate Red Centre dawn. Watch the colours of Uluru and the golden spinifex grasses sparkle as the sun creeps over the horizon
Travel to the base of Uluru where you will meet your local Anangu Guide from Mutitjulu Community. You may have one of the traditional owners, their children or grandchildren, an ancient Ngangkari (healer) or one of the many magnificent artists or elders that are residing at the base of Uluru within UKTNP.
See the marks left in the landscape while we share traditional stories of battles, celebrations, crime and punishment, all passed down to your local guide, as part of an oral culture since time began.
Develop an understanding for life in the desert learning traditional food gathering, bush medicine and hunting methods.
Learn ancient tool making techniques. Visit the Cultural Centre and explore the local art galleries, perhaps even discover some paintings or punu (wood) work created by your own personal guide.
Please note: On occasions cultural responsibilities may prevent the attendance of a local Mutitjulu guide. If this occurs we will provide a trained interpreter guide that has worked with local Mutitjulu guides.
If sunrise is not your thing, the Guided Cultural Experience is what it’s all about and we may be able to start later. Talk to us to find our more.
