An early pre dawn start has us entering the park as soon as it opens for our drive out to the immense domes of Kata Tjuta.
Beginning our walk in the pre dawn twilight we watch the suns rays strike and bring to life the colours of red conglomerate rock. Pause by an ancient creek bed, surrounded by river red gums, singing birds and if you are quiet even some rock wallabies may be spotted quietly, basking in the morning sun before they shelter for the day.
We continue our walk along the creek bed enjoying the incredible photo opportunities provided by the morning light. As we climb out of the shadows to the Karingana (bush mint) Lookout, the true size and majesty of Kata Tjuta can be realised.
Descending the rocky track we circle around the back of the domes through the mulga valley to re-join the creek bed.
Upon our return we pause, climbing a sand dune viewing area where you can see Kata Tjuta as well as mountain peaks in Western Australia and South Australia all at the same time. This truly is the land time forgot. There are not many places where you can stand to see 3 states of Australia at the same time.
We take you to the airport or resort in time for a bus or airline connections, just let us know.
